The internet is now a part of day to day life and has become the most powerful and cost effective way of marketing any business. By the end of September ePyrenees.com had amassed over one and a half million hits with July breaking all records at over 260,000.

The three major search engines that drive website traffic are Google, Yahoo and MSN. ePyrenees.com now sees regular first page placement across all three search engines for key search terms such as “accommodation pyrenees”, “hotels pyrenees”, "pyrenees property", “pyrenees camping” “cycling pyrenees” and “skiing Pyrenees”.


What do we do to promote your business?

Brits favour the internet Next to the local French and Spanish tourists, Anglophone travellers are the biggest tourist market to capture. According to research the British spend more on holidays, travel more often and use the internet to book holidays more often than any other European country.

Over the course of last year ePyrenees.com experienced a sharp increase in site traffic. We now consistently register over 100,000 hits per month and recorded our best ever performance in July with over 260,000 hits. This has been achieved by combining the latest internet marketing strategies with more traditional marketing channels.

ePyrenees.com is registered with over 70 search engines. The main three are Google, MSN and Yahoo and through our continuous search engine optimisation campaign we now consistently achieve first page placement across a broad range of keywords. We further support this online initiative through pay per click advertising and have in the last few months started a monthly email newsletter to our growing database of registered site visitors.


Brits favour the internet But it is not all about the internet; ePyrenees.com is also active in promoting the Pyrenees to a wider audience. Concentrating on traditional marketing methods we have built the brand to create direct site traffic through a mix of representation at travel shows to magazine and newspaper advertising and press coverage.

We currently see approximately one half of all site traffic arriving direct (with the visitor entering our URL directly into the address bar) and the other half driven through search engine listings and partner links. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the multi pronged marketing campaign.

At present we are negotiating an exciting competition to put ePyrenees.com into independent ski and outdoor retailers across the UK to further build the ePyrenees brand and drive greater interest in the Pyrenees as an outdoor travel destination.
